President-elect, John Mahama has arrived with his entourage at the venue grounds for his swearing-in ceremony.
The president was accompanied by his spouse and soon-to be First Lady, Lordina Mahama.
The Clerk to Parliament and the Leadership of the Parliament proceeded to receive John Mahama on his arrival.
John Mahama was led to the precinct Parliament at the Independence Square to be administered oath by the Chief Justice.
Mahama was dressed in traditional white attire with kente accents, symbolising purity and victory, and completing his look with a kente cap.

Rwanda’s President, Paul Kagame and other foreign dignitaries were present to witness the ceremony.
The President-elect and the Vice President-elect were subsequently administered oath of allegiance by the Chief Justice.
