Ruth Kadiri calls out producers who demand actors produce 1 million views on YouTube

Prominent Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Ruth Kadiri, is speaking out against producers who unfairly pressure actors to rack up one million views on YouTube within the first 24 hours of a movie’s upload.

Kadiri, known as the ‘Queen of YouTube Nollywood’ has advised fellow actors to vehemently refuse such demands.

According to her, a movie raking up one million view on YouTube is not the standard for a successful movie.

On her Instagram page, she wrote, “Dear Nollywood actors, take the pressure off your shoulders! Any producer who requires one million views from you in one day has failed. A good production requires more than your face.

“One million views is not a standard of success. So much y’all don’t know about YouTube. Don’t let their ignorance rob you of your joy.”
