1. Omah Lay’s “Erotic” Dance with a Fan: Nigerian Afrobeat singer Omah Lay sparked controversy in February when videos surfaced online appearing to show him dancing intimately with a fan on stage. While some believed the interaction was staged, others felt it was inappropriate. This incident generated significant online debate and divided public opinion.

2. Mr. Happiness Sparks Controversy: Passport vs. PhD: Kofi Gabs, known as Mr. Happiness, ignited a heated online discussion by claiming that his Dutch passport held more value than a PhD degree earned in Ghana. This provocative statement prompted widespread debate and introspection among Ghanaians.

3. MediFella Breakup: The much-hyped celebrity couple, nicknamed “Kpando Beyonce and Sowutuom Jay Z,” announced their separation in 2024, leaving fans disappointed. Medikal publicly confirmed the split via Twitter, ending months of speculation.

4. Chef Smith’s Cooking Marathon Hoax: In July, Chef Ebenezer Smith, known as Chef Smith, held a press conference to announce a record-breaking cooking marathon.
