Veteran Nigerian actresss, Dakore Egbuson-Akande has vehemently refuted claims of an alleged affair with a Senate President of Nigeria, Godswill Akpabio.
The rumuors were circulated by a famous Nigerian blogger, Gistlover which purported that the actress among several other women were purportedly having a romantic affair with the politician.
Addressing the allegations, Dakore described the rumors as a “wicked lie from the pit of hell” and warned that her hard-earned reputation should not be used for clickbait.
She expressed her disappointment and shock at the rumours circulating on social media and said she had never met the politician.
“I want to categorically state that I have never ever in my life met the Senate President. I have not had any course to see him or be in the sane room not to talk of his side chick,” the actress said in a video on her Instagram page.
Egbuson-Akande further announced that she intends to take a legal action and “she is not going to be quiet about it.”
She reminded her fans and the accusers of her status as a happily married wife with two children stressing that the speculations are just “to tarnish her hard-earned reputation.”
Dakore additionally challenged anyone who has evidence to prove her affair with the politician to come out with it and will be awarded an amount of 5 million naira.
