After a rigorous process which included both virtual and in-person auditions, some contestants were selected for the final audition process of the Rising Star edition of TV3 Mentor Season 13.
On Sunday, October 12 the final selection was made after a bootcamp session and in-person audition. All contestants were taken through vocal training, the business of the music industry and the legal aspect of the industry.
The Judges for the selection process were; singer and song-writer, Abiana, music producer and vocal coach Nii Quaye and record Executive and Producer, Kofi Boachie Ansah.
The final 16 contestants will be unveiled on Sunday, October 20 during the launch of the new season of TV3 Mentor.
The winner for Mentor XIII will be walking away with GHC80,000 as well GHC80,000 worth of airtime in addition with guidance and training from some talent managers.
The bootcamp was a prelude to the grand launch of the competition.
Head of Programs at 3 Group, Miriam Osei Agyemang shared what viewers should expect in this new seas on.
“We are bringing up and coming rising stars into the competition and we will say come and do your thing the platform is yours, shine as bright as you can.
“What we will do this Sunday is to walk our viewers through the process of cutting down from 300 and over entries to those who went into the bootcamp and then to the final 16 and how we arrive there,” she said on TV3’s Reality Catch Up on Friday.
