GHALCA chairman Fianoo calls for Kurt Okraku’s resignation

Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Kudjoe Fianoo has asked for Kurt Okraku’s resignation as president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

This follows the Black Stars’ horrible show against Sudn which resulted in a 2-0 loss on Tuesday afternoon in Libya. The loss follows a goalless draw in Accra which saw Ghana squandered so many chances.

Ghana now finds itself in a precarious position and has all but lost the chance to secure a place in the next AFCON, which will be held in Morocco next year.

Speaking to Akoma FM, Fianoo stated his dissatisfaction with the current status of Ghana football, specifically the Black Stars’ performance under Okraku’s leadership.

“Kurt Okraku should resign, or better yet, fulfil his second term and then leave without seeking a third term.”

With two points from four games, Ghana is currently in third place in Group F and faces the possibility of missing out on the AFCON for the first time in 20 years.

The Black Stars will return to action in November when they play Angola and Niger in the final two qualifiers.
