The running mate of Dr. Bawumia, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has said that it is an abomination (haram) for any Muslim to vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to Dr Prempeh, the NDC does not like Muslims.
Touring some constituencies in the Savanna Region on November 7, NAPO, as he is otherwise known, accused the NDC of removing Mahammed Muntaka and Haruna Iddrisu from the leadership of Parliament because they are Muslims.
He called on the Muslim communities to stand with the NPP to transform their lives.
“Haruna and Muntaka Mohammed, who removed them? John Mahama. They are Muslims oo, he said they are Muslims so they can’t lead NDC. The party that broke down the number one mosque in Accra, is NDC. When they broke it down, they called it what? Rawlings Park. When they broke down the mosque in Koforidua, they used it as a garbage dump. That is NDC for you. NDC, they don’t like Muslims,” he declared.
The NPP running mate first visited the Yagbonwura’s palace to seek his blessings.
He later moved to a rally ground at Larabanga where he charged the supporters to vote massively for the NPP as the only political party that has Muslims at heart.
He added, the NDCs dislike for Muslims is further evidenced by the removal of the image of the Larabanga mosque from the Cedi during the time of ex President Rawlings.
The NPP running mate also said, NDC wants Muslims dead as John Mahama promises to build them more mortuaries in Muslim communities.
For his part, the Mp for Damongo, Abu Jinapor listed some achievements since he became MP for the constituency. He said the NPP will continue to win the Damongo constituency and take over the entire Savannah Region.
