Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale will be the only Ghanaian performer at the highly anticipated “Freedom Street” concert, hosted by Jamaican dancehall icon Vybz Kartel.
Following his recent release from prison, Vybz Kartel will perform live for the first time in almost 14 years on December 31, 2024, at Jamaica’s National Stadium in Kingston.
International stars including Spice, Popcaan, Busta Rhymes, and Skillibeng will also perform at the concert, which has been described as a historic occasion in the history of dancehall music.
Kartel, often referred to as the “World Boss,” expressed his excitement, calling the event an “evolution” that will rewrite the rules of New Year’s Eve celebrations.
“Freedom Street” is set to deliver an unforgettable experience with cutting-edge stage design, lighting, and special effects. Shatta Wale and Vybz Kartel have shared a good relationship, with the Ghanaian artiste consistently wishing Vybz Kartel on his birthday while he was in prison.
