    Manso Watreso robbery: Two Okada riders killed

    Two Okada riders from Manso Watreso in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region were killed after unknowingly being hired by suspected armed robbers.

    The incident occurred around 5:30 PM yesterday, with the two suspects managing to escape.

    Police have transported the bodies to St. Martin’s Hospital in Agroyesum, and investigations are ongoing.

    Reports gathered by our news team in Kumasi detailed a tragic robbery incident at Manso Watreso.

    On January 13, 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, two individuals, identified as Okada riders from Manso Kwabenaso, were lynched by an angry mob after being suspected of involvement in the crime.

    One of the riders, identified as 26-year-old Japheth, and his colleague had reportedly been hired to transport two unknown individuals from Manso Kwabenaso to Watreso.

    Unbeknownst to the riders, their passengers were armed robbers who carried out a heist, stealing approximately GHC 11,000, 30 pounds of gold, and car keys. The robbers fled the scene, leaving their unsuspecting drivers to face the wrath of angry residents.

    The Manso Adubia District Police have transported the deceased bodies to St. Martin’s Hospital in Manso Agroyesum. Investigations are underway to apprehend the fugitives and unravel the details of the crime.
