    Media General denies NPP’s claim of biased paneling

    The Management of Media General has denied claims by the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that its staff have been biased against the party in empaneling guests for political discussion programmes.

    The NPP earlier announced through a press release signed by its Director of Communications, Mr Richard Ahiagbah, that it has resolved to withdraw from participating in discussions on any of Media General’s platforms.

    In a press release dated January 31, Management stated, “We categorically deny claims of biased paneling, disruptive hosting, and unprofessional conduct. Our teams uphold the highest journalistic standards to ensure diverse perspectives are represented.”

    “Media General wishes to categorically assert our commitment to our bold and factual journalism. Our editorial position is built on the pillars of fairness, objectivity, and independence,” Management stated.

    The press assured of Management’s commitment to “continue to uphold these values, unwavering in our pursuit of truth and our commitment to informing the public discourse.”

    The Management of Media General further assured all political actors that “we will collaborate and nurture unbiased relationships with all parties through dialogue.”
