Radio personality Maximous Mensah, also known as Dr Pounds also shared the viral video, asking: “What can we do paaa to help our brother?? Asem oooo so sad! Charley legend! GOD HELP OUR BROTHER.”
His post reflects the general concern and grief of those who have seen the once-bright artist’s condition deteriorate.
According to reports, prominent musicians including well-known music producer Abraham Ohene Djan and former hiplife singer turned pastor Evangelist Lord Kenya have tried to get Kwadee medical help in the past.
But according to sources, his family’s opposition hampered their efforts, making it more difficult to give him the care he needed.
At the tail end of last year, a video of the Kwadee emerged showing him battling with mental health. The video sparked concern among Ghanaians with many calling for urgent assistance for Kwadee.
Born Jerry Anaba, Kwadee became well-known in the early 2000s due to classic hits including Boyz Boyz, Ofie Nipa, Meko M’anim, Yeko Mmaa Pe, Abrantie, and Ataa Adwoa.
He became well-known and a renowned character in Ghana’s hiplife music scene thanks to his distinctive style and voice.
