Fire fighters are at the new Kejetia market to douse a fire that gutted some section of the market Wednesday evening.
It is yet unclear what triggered the outbreak.
Power FM reporter Nana Appiah reports that some traders who were affected by the incident were when he got to the scene.
Fire fighters have pledged to bring the situation under control.
