Bantama NDC backs Victoria Hardcastle, credits her for vote gains in 2024 elections

The Bantama Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has thrown its full support behind Victoria Emeafa Hardcastle, applauding her dedication and strategic efforts in the 2024 general elections.

The constituency executives credit her leadership with increasing NDC’s votes from 8,954 to 10,254, while significantly reducing the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) votes from 57,360 to 43,635.

According to the statement released by the Bantama NDC, Hardcastle played a crucial role in training polling agents, supervising polling stations, and overseeing collation processes—efforts that reportedly prevented an alleged NPP vote-rigging attempt of 13,725 votes.

With Bantama having 174 polling stations, Hardcastle trained 348 polling agents—two for each polling station—ensuring efficiency and accuracy on election day. Her collaboration with the constituency elections directorate and leadership ensured that all pink sheets were submitted on time, and her contribution at the collation center was described as “top-notch.”

Beyond her political impact, the NDC also expressed confidence in Hardcastle’s new role as Acting CEO of the Petroleum Commission, hailing her extensive experience and commitment as assets that will drive innovation and growth in Ghana’s energy sector.

Her appointment is seen as a significant milestone for Ghana’s petroleum industry, with expectations that her leadership will empower local businesses and contribute to a more sustainable energy future.

As the political landscape heats up following the 2024 elections, Hardcastle’s rising influence within the NDC and her new role in the petroleum sector position her as a key figure to watch.
