The Chiefs of Dormaa West in the Bono region have appealed to former president John Mahama to address the deplorable state of roads in their area if he becomes president of Ghana, citing economic and safety concerns.
They made the appeal when John Mahama took his campaign tour to Kwaku Anya and Nkrankwanta.
The traditional leaders’ call for improved road infrastructure comes at a time when many residents have been expressing concerns about the poor state of the roads in their area.
Potholes, lack of proper signage, and uneven surfaces have been causing problems for commuters and residents alike.
The Chiefs’ proposal for improved road infrastructure will not only make travel safer and more convenient for residents but also stimulate economic growth and development in the community.
The construction and maintenance of roads will create job opportunities and attract more businesses to the area.
The Chief of NKrankwanta traditional Area, Nana Baffour Agyei Ekyea Akombi II, highlighted the economic impact of poor roads, including increased transportation costs and reduced access to markets.
“Our roads are in a poor condition and it is hindering our progress and development. We urge you to prioritize our roads because we’re struggling due to the bad road, so ensure that our roads are safe, reliable, and accessible for all residents.” He said.
