Former President John Dramani Mahama has said that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration was a better manager of the Ghanaian economy than the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He indicated that the economy is near a state of collapse at the moment due to the government’s mismanagement.
Poverty, he observed, has worsened due to extreme inflation and price volatility.
In a tweet, the 2020 presidential candidate of the NDC said “Back from a trip to the Savanna, Northern and Upper West Regions – and poverty has worsened due to extreme inflation & price volatility.
“The economy is in a near state of collapse; clearly, the NDC has been a better manager of the economy!”

Earlier Mr Mahama said officials of the Akufo-Addo administration were resigning because the government was heading for disaster.
“Some members of the Akufo-Addo gov’t have realized their boat is heading for disaster. It must be a relief for those deserting the ship, but it’s so late.
“It’s almost pointless. They’ll try hard not to be part of the mess we are in, but let’s not forget the parts they all played.”
