The Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Sammy Awuku, has described the 2024 general elections as a critical choice between optimism and despair.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Akropong Constituency, Sammi Awuku, admonished Ghanaians to vote wisely and take their destiny into their hands at the polls on Saturday, December 7.
“Don’t play with your destiny, vote wisely. This election is not about a fake promise of offering you three chicks or running shifts at a nightclub, no, not at all. This election is about your future,” he stated at the New Patriotic Party’s final rally, which took place at the University of Ghana on Thursday, December 5.
Addressing party faithful at the rally, Mr. Awuku expressed confidence in the party’s ability to fulfill its campaign promises. He opined that an NPP government under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will ensure job creation, enhance the free SHS program, and ensure financial stability for citizens.
He emphasized the transformative vision of the NPP and its determination to bring about positive change. “The election before us is a choice between hope and hopelessness. It’s a contest between the future and the past. This election is a destiny vote,” he added.

“I don’t need a honeymoon; I know what I want to do from day one in the presidency,” Bawumia said to loud cheers. “Give me the chance to transform this nation.”
