Dreams FC’s coach, Karim Zito, has warned his team against complacency as he aims for a decent first-round finish.
After eight matches into the new season, Dreams FC looked prime for relegation.
Four draws and four losses were all the Still Believe lads had to show for after the first eight games.
However, Dreams have moved past their early season struggles and are unbeaten in their last three games, racking up two draws and a win.
The last three matches have set the tone for the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup semi-finalist to move just above the relegation zone, level on points with 15th and 16th-placed Vision FC and Legon Cities.
Dreams narrowly edge their fellow strugglers due to a superior goal difference on the league log.
With six games till the end of the first round, Dreams’ coach, Karim Zito, wants his team well-positioned at the start of the second round.
“I talk to them all the time. I’ve been a player before, and I know the way to psych them. I told them it is not over. Still, we shouldn’t see ourselves, because we are out of the bottom, that we’ve survived; we’ve not survived. I want us to finish the first round on a good note so that the second round will be a little bit easier for us,” he said.
Dreams face struggling Karela United on Sunday.
