Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has provided an update on the injury status of team captain and goalkeeper Fredrick Asare.
The goalkeeper has been sidelined for an extended period due to injury concerns but is set to begin a rehabilitation program with the club’s medical team this week.
Sharing insights on Asare’s recovery, Coach Ogum stated: “I was informed by the medical team about Asare’s recovery process. While there is no definite timeline for his return, it’s refreshing for the team because he’s our leader, and it’s always good to have him back. Everyone here will give him the time and support he needs to recover fully.”
Asante Kotoko currently sits 6th on the Ghana Premier League table with 28 points from 16 games. The team is preparing to face Vision FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
