Hearts of Oak manager Aboubakar Ouattara has encouraged his side to work as a team despite the Phobians’ recent upturn in form.
After a sloppy start to the 2024/25 season, Hearts of Oak recorded successive defeats to Basake Holy Stars and Heart of Lions on matchdays one and two, respectively.
The Phobians had to wait until matchday three to pick up their first win of the season.
And despite picking up that crucial win against Bechem on matchday three, Hearts of Oak’s season stalled, drawing three, winning one, and losing one thereof.
However, in their last three games, Hearts have been flawless and seem to have turned a corner.
Three successive wins see the Phobians four points behind league leaders Nations FC.
Irrespective of the magnificent turnaround, head coach Outtara wants to see his talented crop of players work together as a unit.
“Well, the talent is there. We are trying to work on to get teamwork. The only things we have is the hard work and teamwork to grow the team. It is not easy but we are trying to do our best in this only things we can do in football. The individuals we have it. We are trying to build the team slowly, it is like that, he said.
Hearts face Nsoatreman at the University of Ghana stadium on Saturday, aiming to win four games on the bounce before facing Asante Kotoko.
