I deeply apologise if my words during the campaign offended anyone from NDC – Prince David Osei

Actor and supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Prince David Osei has expressed sincere apologies to any member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who might have taken offense at his remarks during the campaign season.

In a polite gesture, Prince David Osei posted on Facebook on December 10, 2024, acknowledging the NDC’s victory in the 2024 elections and stating that both parties were focused on winning the elections during the campaign season.

He urged supporters of both parties to bury any resentment and live in unity and peace.

He wrote, “I deeply apologize if my words during the campaign offended anyone from NDC. We were all focused on winning but now let’s move forward and live in peace. God bless Ghana”.

Many people have applauded his action, viewing it as a positive start toward healing and reconciliation following the tension that came with the election period.

Prince David Osei, however, had revealed on Facebook prior to his apologies that he was receiving threats from some NDC members.

He said he was going to protect himself since his life had been threatened.

He wrote, “To some NDC supporters and followers, is this the meaning of Democracy? Even after winning an election, resorting to violence, insults, intimidation and bullying. I shudder to think of what would have happened if you had lost.

“Now that I know you are after my life, I will be prepared. God is my source and protector. Be cautious when you come for me. Not everyone is willing to enter into a battle. I am not afraid, just taken aback. @ghpoliceservice”.
