I will take over information gathered by ORAL next week – AG AG to review ORAL findings on looted public assets next week

Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, has announced that he will meet with the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee next week to assess the progress of its investigations into looted public assets.

The ORAL Committee, which is tasked with gathering information on suspected corruption and verifying same on stolen public resources, is currently processing over 700 petitions from the public.

Speaking on the importance of the meeting, Dr. Ayine revealed, “The ORAL committee and I will be meeting somewhere early next week, most likely on Monday, and I will be briefed by them in respect of what they have gathered so far. Of course, I will take over the information that they have gathered.

The meeting will be a critical step in advancing the government’s anti-corruption efforts.

Dr. Ayine emphasized that the briefing will focus on reviewing the data collected by the committee and planning the next steps in the recovery process.

The government’s commitment to transparency and accountability was further reiterated by President John Dramani Mahama during the swearing-in ceremony of six new ministerial appointees on January 22, 2025.

Addressing the appointees at Jubilee House, President Mahama called for integrity and renewed focus on public trust.

“It cannot be business as usual. We must be transparent and fair in all our dealings,” the President stated, cautioning his ministers against complacency as they execute their duties.
