Ibrahim Mahama donates GHS 100,000; Governs Agbodza gives 250 bags of rice as donations pour in for tidal wave victims

In response to the devastating impact of recent tidal waves that have displaced 600 people in the Volta Region, President John Mahama has spearheaded relief efforts, ensuring that affected families receive immediate support.

During his visit to the worst-hit communities, Mahama announced a series of donations from various sources to alleviate the suffering of those displaced. “In the meantime, to alleviate the plight of those who have been affected, we’ve brought some items to be distributed,” he said.

Among the key contributions was a donation of 250 bags of rice from Minister of Roads and Transport, Governs Kwame Agbodza, aimed at providing immediate food relief to affected families.

Additionally, the President’s younger brother, Ibrahim Mahama, who serves as the Managing Director for Engineers & Planners, contributed GHS 100,000 to further support the victims.

The relief packages, which include essential food supplies and financial aid, come at a crucial time for residents who have lost their homes and livelihoods due to the tidal waves. Many victims have been left stranded, with limited access to food and shelter.
