‘If the money is right, I will perform for a political party’ – Bisa Kdei

Ghanaian highlife artiste, Bisa Kdei has shown no hesitation about performing at rallies of political parties.

The ‘Odo Carpenter’ hitmaker said he is open to performing for political parties provided they offer a substantial offer or amount.

He told Giovani Caleb in an interview on Showbiz 360 that as an artiste, he is also concerned about his finances as he must feed, hence will not decline such offers from politicians.

According to him, doing so is merely business and does not make him a sympathizer of whichever political party he performs for.

“People should understand that we are artistes too, we have to eat. The fact that somebody calls you to come on stage and perform does not mean you should support the party or whatever. So, at times, people should understand that,” he said.

The subject of creatives and artistes aligning with political parties has been discussed recently after several industry persons openly declared their support for some political parties.

Although some persons have advised against such act with claims it could ‘jeorpardise’ one’s career, others think otherwise.

Most musicians have maintained the stance that it is purely business and nothing else.
