A member of the Dance With Purpose Academy group, Lisa Quama, has confirmed the public narrative about her personality and style of dressing.
In an interview on ‘The Delay Show’ on March 8, 2025, Lisa Quama, initially did not want to embrace the label of a tomboy, however after further questions by the host, Delay she affirmed being a tomboy.
“I don’t want to say yes… I will never be a boy because I am a girl. I am not dressing like a boy… You know what I am a tomboy. I have accepted that I am a tomboy,” she said.
She further debunked any perception about her being a lesbian.
According to her, she’s attracted to men and not women. However, she only feels comfortable in wearing unisex clothes.
“I am not a lesbian. That is the sexual narrative but a tomboy is someone who is comfortable in male clothes or unisex clothes. Yes! I love men with all my heart,” she added.
Responding to a question about her claiming she does not want to marry, Lisa clarified that she only meant that marriage is not her priority for now.
“Maybe, I didn’t say it well so I will say it well here. When I look into the future, I don’t see it (getting married) happening.
“Right now, I don’t see that picture of me getting married. I’m too young so maybe when I get to like 27 and you ask me if I get married, I might see but right now I am not seeing that…there’s more to achieve,” she noted.
Although Lisa said she wants to achieve a higher level with her career, the dancer and content creator aims to become a Chartered Accountant. However, she said that will only be achieved after making it big in her dance career.
