Nigerian rapper and actor, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has extoled his colleague filmmaker and actress, Funke Akindele, describing her as one of the most hardworking entertainers he has encountered.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Falz reflected on his journey with Akindele, which begun with their collaboration in the hit series “Jenifa’s Diary” to their upcoming project “Everybody Loves Jenifa.”
Falz said Akindele first reached out to him to feature in “Jenifa’s Diary,” marking the beginning of their professional relationship.
“I remember Funke Akindele, a big shout out to her, by the way; She had reached out to me maybe by Instagram or something.
“Anyway saying, she had seen some of those videos. Yeah, and she had something she was working on. Yeah, she’d like me to be a part of it. There was no Jennifer’s Diary; the diary didn’t exist,” he said.
Falz also recalled the experience, highlighting Akindele’s exceptional work ethic and dedication.
He emphasised that Akindele’s tireless efforts make her stand out in the entertainment industry and her passion for her craft is inspiring.
“I don’t think I’ve ever crossed paths with any other entertainer in this country. Yes, that is more hard-working than she is.”
