Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama will begin a two day campaign tour of the Ahafo region today, 18th September, 2024.
Dubbed ‘Resetting Ghana for Change’ the former President will adress core issues of interest to the development of the in newly created Ahafo region
The campaign is to re-energize the base of the party and sell vision with the people.
He is expected to address core concerns among the the youth and women groups particularly job opportunities and wealth creation, labour unions, party supporters and the general public.
He will among other things on day one of his tour, meet with leadership of the Saturday Adventist Church, interact with the Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs, and later address a durbar of chiefs and people of Kwapong in the Asunafo South Constituency.
Mr Mahama is also expected to visit the Asutifi North, Kenyasi No.2., address a mini durbar at the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union (GPRTU) station, visit and wrap up the day with community engagement at the Goaso RC Park
The Ahafo Region is the sixth region Mr Mahama and his entourage is visiting after successfully campaigning in the Upper East, Volta, Bono, Bono East and parts of Greater Accra,
