Two students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have passed away, according to an announcement by the university’s media house.
The deceased students include a third-year female student from the Faculty of Forest Resources Technology, Akosua Owuwuwaa, and a final-year student, Bertha Kookale Hammond of the Department of English Language. The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear.
The Association of Students of English, KNUST (ASEK), has called on its members to observe the death of their colleagues by wearing black attire.
Their passing comes just two weeks after the tragic death of a final-year student who was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, a case that sparked widespread concern and discussions about student safety.
