Former Finance Minister Dr Kwabena Duffuor who is seeking to be elected flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2024 general elections has said that his priority is to strengthen the grassroots of the party.
He stated that the grassroots is the party’s backbone and and hence needs to be resourced well.
In a tweet, he said “I am pleased to announce that I have picked the number 3 slot on the ballot paper to contest in the NDC flagbearer race come May 13, 2023. My top priority is to strengthen the party’s grassroots.”
He added “They are the backbone of our party, and we need them to be strong, well-resourced and focused to take on the NPP in the 2024 elections.
“Let’s stay united and committed to our cause. Together, we can build a stronger NDC for a brighter future for Ghana.”
