The chair of the vetting committee for the flagbearer contest of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Edward Doe Adjaho has said all the aspirants performed well during their screening by the committee.
He said they all satisfied the requirements as stipulated in the 1992 Constitution and also the NDC’s Constitution.
Addressing the press after the vetting exercise on Wednesday, March 29, Mr Doe Adjaho who is a former Speaker of Parliament said “All of them did well before us, they all satisfied the conditions.
“if you look at the Constitution and guidelines, for example, you must satisfy the qualification eligibility prescribed in the 1992 Constitution, you have to satisfy the party’s constitution and you must also satisfy the guideline issued by the National Executive Committee (NEC).”
Regarding the decision by businessman Ernest Kwaku Kobeah to withdraw from the race, Mr Doe Adjaho said he was not forced to take that decision.
“He indicated that it was voluntary,” Adjaho said.
