    NPP-NDC clash at Mamobi: Police place GH₵20k bounty on suspect with weapon

    The Ghana Police Service has announced a reward of GHC20,000 for reliable information that could lead to the arrest of suspect Fatau Motorway in connection with recent disturbances at Mamobi, Nima.

    Fatau Motorway, was seen in a now-viral video brandishing a gun during the altercation between supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Mamobi,  and has been declared wanted in relation to the disturbances.

    In a statement on Monday, October 21, the police called on the public to provide information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.

    “The Ghana Police Service is still on manhunt for suspect Fatau Motorway, who has been declared wanted in connection with the disturbances that occurred between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Mamobi, Accra, on 13 October, 2024.”

    “The Police are appealing to the public to support Police intelligence-led efforts by providing information that could lead to his arrest.”

    “A reward of GHC20,000.00 has been offered for anyone who provides credible information leading to his arrest,” the police statement said.
