Nsoatreman clinch final berth in MTN FA Cup after win over Legon Cities

Nsoatreman are on the brink of a historic achievement after securing a spot in the final of the MTN FA Cup with a hard-fought victory over Legon Cities.

Their 2-1 triumph at the WAFA Park in Sogakope marks their first-ever appearance in a major final, offering an opportunity for glory.

Apetorgbor Foster scored the first goal in the 35th minute, swiftly followed by Eric Osei Bonsu’s strike just three minutes later, establishing a commanding lead for Nsoatreman.

However, a sudden heavy downpour disrupted the flow of the game, prompting a temporary halt. Despite the adverse weather conditions, both teams returned to the pitch to complete the match.

In the second half, Legon Cities rallied fiercely, with William Adjei narrowing the deficit with a goal in the 60th minute, setting up a tense finale. Yet, Nsoatreman displayed resilience and composure, managing to withstand the pressure and secure their historic victory.

For Nsoatreman, this achievement is particularly significant, considering their disappointment in the previous season’s semi-finals.

Under the guidance of their experienced coach, Maxwell Konadu, they are now poised to etch their names in the annals of football history by clinching their first major trophy.
