Olivia Culpo Is ‘Nervous’ for Christian McCaffrey’s Game After Injury

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey is back on the field for the Sunday, November 10, game, which means wife Olivia Culpo has returned to the stands to cheer him on.

“Let’s get ready for Christian’s first game back. I am so nervous,” Culpo, 32, said in a Sunday TikTok video, documenting her glam process. “We’re in Charlotte right now. We’re going to go from Charlotte to Tampa, straight to the game. Then after the game, I’m flying from Tampa to L.A., so it’s gonna be a long day of travel.”

Culpo and McCaffrey, 38, are primarily based in San Francisco, California, where he trains and plays for the 49ers. The NFL athlete, however, has been out on injured reserve for the bulk of the current season. Sunday is his first game back, in which the 49ers are playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

To cheer on McCaffrey’s return, the model opted for a chic yet casual ensemble to wear to the game.

“I’m going to wear a sporty, casual, easy outfit,” Culpo quipped in the video. “Go sports! … Let’s do this.”

Culpo, who attended the game with mother-in-law Lisa, donned a Niners windbreaker over a black bodysuit. She paired it with a black baseball cap, matching handbag and a pair of white New Balance sneakers.

Culpo and McCaffrey have been together since 2019, getting engaged four years later. Amid their romance, he was traded from the Carolina Panthers to the 49ers.

“I’m so happy that Christian is in San Francisco. It’s going to make everything so much easier,” Culpo exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2022. “I feel like when you care about somebody, you have to understand the things that they’re gonna have to do to reach their dreams and potential. And part of that means being apart.”

Culpo and McCaffrey tied the knot earlier this year in June via a romantic ceremony in her native Rhode Island.

“It’s a covenant. It’s the beginning of the rest of your life — and it’s the union and bond of two people forever,” Culpo told Vogue ahead of the big day, noting her desire for a ballgown to match the aesthetic. “When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered, and elegant.”

Culpo and McCaffrey got married in the NFL offseason. After he reported to training camp later that summer, he suffered an Achilles injury that took him out of the game until Sunday.
