President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed that the Operation Retrieve All Loot (ORAL) Committee will investigate financial mismanagement by both past and present government officials, ensuring accountability at all levels of leadership.
Speaking at a Thank You rally in Cape Coast, Mahama emphasized that his administration is committed to enforcing a strict system of transparency and accountability, making it clear that no official—past or present—will be exempt from scrutiny.
“We are not only going to pursue members of the past regime to account to the people of Ghana; we are going to pursue our own people to make sure they are held accountable,” he stated.
The President further announced that the ORAL Committee is set to present its findings next week, after which cases of financial misappropriation will be referred to investigative agencies for appropriate action.
To reinforce integrity in governance, Mahama revealed plans to introduce a code of conduct for public officials, ensuring that those entrusted with state resources uphold the highest ethical standards.
“We are not just going to build roads and schools; we are going to build a better future for our children, the next generation, and for all posterity,” he declared, assuring Ghanaians that his administration remains committed to national progress and economic justice.
With ORAL’s imminent report and a renewed focus on accountability, Mahama urged Ghanaians to support his efforts aimed at fostering a transparent and corruption-free government.
