The Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Bouncers With Degree, Augustine Lamar has opened up about the challenges he faced at the onset of starting his business.
Born Isaac Augustine Addo, Lamar said despite receiving GH₵70 each as their first salary as bouncers, they persevered and “did not give up.” Lamar noted that he remained optimistic of establishing his business to the current level.
in an interview on Showbiz 360 on Saturday, September 14, Lamar disclosed his motivation for leaving his job at a bank to fully focus on his security services company.
According to him, a client had once offered him an amount of money “he would never get” if he worked at the bank. So, he took a decision to resign from his job at the bank and establish his business fully.

Unknowingly to him, that offer was one-time. Lamar narrated that after that huge offer, nothing of that sort came his way anymore. For seven months, he did not get any job and was facing financial difficulties.
“The bank message was just a one-time thing. I thought it was going to continue,” he said.
Lamar while recounting the challenges he faced, said “in one way or the other, I even regretted quitting my bank job because I stayed on like seven months after that without a job. I was worried.”
