Baba Rahman has caught the attention of Premier League clubs ahead of the January transfer window, following a series of outstanding performances for PAOK in Greece.
The 30-year-old left-back has been in excellent form, registering six goals and four assists in all competitions last season, helping PAOK clinch the Greek Super League title and reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League.
This season, Rahman has continued his strong run, scoring five goals in 18 appearances, which has led to reported interest from Premier League clubs, including West Ham and Everton.
Rahman’s latest appearance came against Manchester United in the Europa League at Old Trafford, a fixture that held special significance for the Ghanaian.
Despite a 2-0 defeat, it marked a return to the kind of stage Rahman envisioned when he first joined Chelsea from Augsburg in 2015.
“These big games in the big stadiums, they make you who you are and show your quality to the world,” Rahman sai to BBC Sport Africa.
“I’ve competed in many big stadiums in the world and love having this opportunity.”
In July 2023, Rahman ended his eight-year stint at Chelsea, which included seven loan spells at various clubs. He then signed a two-year contract with PAOK, with an option for an additional year.
