Sarcasm Or Sympathy? Lady Du Reacts To K.O’s Metro FM Awards Snub

Sarcasm Or Sympathy? Lady Du Reacts To K.O’s Metro FM Awards Snub. K.O had an exceptional 2022 as the veteran rapper delivered the long-awaited SR3 album. Prior to that, the rapper released SETE, a track that was dubbed the number 1 song in the country based on how it performed on the music streaming platforms.

Despite all of the aforementioned success, Mr CashTime’s winless skid at the 2023 Metro Awards, despite being nominated seven times, had tongues buzzing. Taking to Twitter, Lady Du who had backlash with K.O expressed her sentiments after the famed rapper failed to scoop a single award on the night in Mbombela. “I have never been so hurt for a person empilweni yam I know we had our differences but no one deserves this KO you did well bro GOD will raise you I promise you. Yho hay no,” tweeted Lady Du.

Following Lady Du and K.O.’s backlash a couple of months back one would take the amapiano sensation’s remarks with a pinch of salt. Responding on whether she was being sarcastic, Lady Du said she doesn’t have time for that and her remarks are out of utmost faith. “Nahhh bra no time for that,” she said.

In an interview with SA Hip Hop Mag, Lady Du fired back at K.O after the rapper released an infamous diss track “Forecast 23.” Their conflict started around the end of 2022 when SETE smashed records and performed astronomically well on streaming platforms. K.O became enraged when Lady Du denied that the song had achieved gold status at the time.

“Let’s take everything and let’s leave ‘Sete’ out because that’s where the issue is. Go to my numbers on Spotify and Apple Music and just check one of my songs. All of eight years of work, and I did that in a year.” Said, Lady Du.

In a bid to clarify the point she made during the interview, the amapiano vocalist took to Twitter and made it clear that she never said she is bigger than K.O. “I never said I was bigger than KO let’s get that correct first, I said the reason I didn’t drop a diss track was because I checked the numbers on my streams and since he said I did nothing with myself, I was happy to see that some of the songs I was on were higher in streams.” She tweeted.
