Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has encouraged his side to prioritise all games ahead of the Phobians clash against newly-promoted side Vision FC.
Hearts of Oak play as host to Vision FC on Friday night at the University of Ghana Stadium. The Phobians have lost once already this term to a newly promoted side when Basake Holy Stars stunned them to record a 1-0 win at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Since the shocking defeat to Holy Stars on matchday one, Hearts have gone on to record three league wins this term, amassing 12 points in the process, with their latest victory coming on their visit to Tarkwa last weekend.
After losing back-to-back games on matchday one and two, the Phobians are aiming to record successive league wins for the first time since March 2024.
However, despite their desire to win, Hearts of Oak manager Aboubakar Ouattara is cautious to avoid another slip-up against a newly promoted side when Vision FC visits.
“Every team who are playing Hearts of Oak is preparation is double. They have another motivation, they have another determination against Hearts of Oak, it is real. The playing body and the technical team to be serious, take every match as final because the people who are coming is coming with another motivation,” Ouattara said
“I think we need to focus on every match, every match, every single match is important for Hearts of Oak. That’s why if we are disciplined, we are follow, i think it is better for us to gather the points,” he added
Hearts of Oak have accumulated 19 points out of a possible 24 in home games against newly promoted sides since 2021. The Phobians will hope to leverage their impressive home run in the last three seasons to seal a win against Vision FC.
