“Treat as rumor” – Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe on alleged three-term ambitions of Kurt Okraku

Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, Head of Public Relations Strategy at the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has dismissed claims that GFA President Kurt Okraku intends to seek a third term, calling it a mere rumor and urging the public to disregard it.

Mortagbe told Connect 97.1FM in an interview that it was unnecessary for the football community to pay attention to the unverified news until a statement is issued by the president of the association, describing their circulation as baseless.

“This three-term conversation is purely speculative and a rumor at this point. Until there is an official statement or tangible evidence supporting such claims, I advise everyone to treat it as a mere rumor.

“At the FA, Kurt always reminds us he has only three years left to achieve what he promised the football ecosystem” Mortagbe stated.

Rumors of a potential third term for Kurt Okraku began circulating within the Ghanaian football community.

The suggestion raised concerns among some fans and stakeholders who argue that such a move might undermine fair governance practices within Ghana football.

Despite these rumors gaining traction and becoming topical conversation, Mortagbe was quick to call for calm and urged followers of the sport to refrain from jumping to conclusions.

The presidency of Kurt Okraku has seen plenty of criticism from a crosssection of Ghanaian football followers over the need for consistency from the national teams and to engender some trust among local football stakeholders.
