    Volta Reg’l Minister meets with GUTA Volta Chapter

    The Vola Regional Minister James Gunu on Wednesday Febraury 5 welcomed a delegation from the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), Volta Chapter led by their chairman Togbe Adzimah Ⅳ, Atamfia to Agbogbomefia Togbe Afede XIV, who paid him a courtesy call to congratulate him on his appointment and formally introduce their operations within the region.

    He described the engagement as an insightful and engaging discussion on how they can work together to strengthen the business environment in Volta.

    The delegation highlighted some challenges they face, particularly their lack of an official office space, as they have been operating from the residence of their chairman.

    They requested the Minister’s support in securing an office within the Assembly or any other suitable location to ensure smooth operations.

    Mr Gunu accordingly,  assured them of his full support.

    “I believe that when we empower traders and business owners, we are advancing the development of the entire Volta Region. When I support GUTA, it is not for NDC or NPP; it is for the betterment of the entire region,” he empahised.

    In addition, the Chief Director of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), Mr. Augustus Awity, advised the delegation to submit a formal request to the VRCC to facilitate swift action on their appeal for office space.

    “I remain committed to fostering strong partnerships that enhance economic growth in the Volta Region. Together, we will create a thriving business environment that benefits everyone,”  Mr Guni said.
