I enjoy a new year, and it’s been one exciting beginning to 2023. We all watched with fascination (or boredom) as Congressman Kevin McCarthy had to negotiate and debate with his fellow Republicans to receive his long-coveted Speaker’s gavel.
Now our elected representatives can get to work with all that legislating and oversight that they speak of so often.
An institution even worse at accountability and transparency is the five-sided building of long-forgotten reports and probes known as The Pentagon. So let’s take a spell to check back on what has happened to some of the formerly called War Department’s greatest Woke Hits of 2022.
Jesse Watters: “So let me get this straight. A woman can be showering next to a guy fully exposed, and she just has to live with it? We went from ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ to show and tell … But don’t you dare call the military woke.” pic.twitter.com/XDf2J8bbDS

The Sheer Caudacity
I’m old enough to remember when the most lucrative field to get involved in was computer science; everybody was hiring computer scientists, and my dumb ass decided to study political science. If only I had had a crystal ball, I’d know that eventually, the most prevalent job title with the highest probability of a six-figure salary would be Chief of Diversity.
The Pentagon was in hot water with Congress when it was discovered that their Chief of Diversity for the Department of Defense Education Activity had some… questionable views.
Chief of Diversity Kelisa Wing tweeted at one point:
“I’m exhausted with these white folx in these [professional development] sessions. This lady actually had the caudacity to say that black people can be racist too…I had to stop the session and give Karen the BUSINESS…We are not the majority, we don’t have power.”

It was also discovered that this woman, who holds an influential position within the sector of the DOD that “Provides support and resources to local educational agencies throughout the United States that serve children of military families,” had authored several divisive children’s books including one titled What Does It Mean To Defund The Police?
WARRIOR FOR WOKENESS: Kelisa Wing has openly promoted Ta-Nehisi Coates’ ‘Between the World and Me,’ saying the book ‘makes me think about what kind of environment are we setting in our classrooms, in our own schools.’ https://t.co/F9S24luzpQ pic.twitter.com/gsGqK2oVFB

So in September, the DOD announced they would conduct a 30-day review of Ms. Wing’s actions and report their findings to Congress. Yet, here we are, four months later, with no report.
Surprisingly there seems only to be one representative interested in the findings.
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik recently said of the probe that the Pentagon appears to be:
“…attempting to shamefully cover up their radical woke agenda.”
I’d believe it if the DOD wasn’t so overt about all their other radical woke agenda initiatives.

Woke Academies
Speaking of education, let’s take a trip to some of the most highly regarded institutions of higher learning. First, we’ll visit the iconic United States Air Force Academy, where flyboys are born.
It was discovered that the Air Force Academy had updated its curriculum to avoid “gendered language.” So what on Earth is gendered language?
According to the Academy, it includes telling cadets and professors to avoid controversial terms like ‘mom’ and ‘dad.’ I’m curious about what overpaid diversity consultants came up with as an alternative.
Perhaps instead of being a mom, I’m a ‘vessel for incubating life, but only if I choose to.’ Instead of being a dad, my husband is a ‘chromosome provider for the incubating vessel.’ How romantic.
Meanwhile, over at West Point, two lectures were on the docket last year titled ‘White Power at West Point’ and ‘Understanding Whiteness and White Rage.’ I bet that last one made Papa Milley proud; perhaps he can rest a bit at night knowing that the future Generals of our country will be well-versed in White Rage.
THIS needs to be a priority:
Defund ALL the woke programs, coming out of this corrupt admin’s Pentagon.

Moving Forward, Erasing The Past
Many of you know I recently retired from the military after 20 years of service. I’m the first to admit that there is quite a bit of racism and sexism in the military.
No doubt it’s better now than it was in my parent’s day and age, but a lot of work still needs to be done. Do you know what won’t solve the rampant racism and sexism in the military?
Renaming military installations. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has approved renaming nine Army installations to include the iconic Fort Bragg, home of the 82nd Airborne.
The American Taliban (aka woke freaks) strike again. Ft. Bragg is gone and in its place we get Ft. Liberty. Oh the irony. Liberty… I almost forgot what that looks like in todays America. pic.twitter.com/Nk4eSxjldy
— Military Arms (@MAC_Arms) January 10, 2023
It doesn’t matter that the preponderance of soldiers on these installations has no clue about the history of the base’s namesake or that veterans and soldiers form a special bond over these old names. For instance, if an Army veteran says they were at Bragg, you instantly know they were probably an Airborne troop, versus if one was stationed at Benning, you were infantry.
Veteran culture be damned! It’s best to shell out a whopping $21 million to rename these bases in the name of anti-racism.
And we can’t talk about erasing history without mentioning the removal of all things related to General Robert E. Lee at West Point.
General Lee used to be one of the Superintendents of West Point and was widely considered a brilliant military mind.
Unfortunately, the only aspect the DOD has decided to focus on is his position as the leader of the Confederate Army.

Bigger Rocks To Move
The world is getting tense and small. Our proxy war in Ukraine could easily pull us from a cold to a hot war. But, on the other hand, China’s watchful eye and eagerness to swallow up Taiwan threaten to draw us into a disastrous World War.
Now isn’t a great time to have recruitment problems, yet we do. Even the Secretary of the Army, Christine Wormuth, shot out a warning about the DOD alienating Americans with woke nonsense:
“When only 9% of kids are interested in serving, we have got to make sure that we are careful about not alienating wide swaths of the American public to the Army.”
I’m not too keen on my kids following in my footsteps and raising their right hand to protect and defend the Constitution. Although by the time they hit that age, little of the Constitution might be left to protect and defend.
There’s little enough left as it is.
Perhaps the military should focus in 2023 on solving their recruitment issues, the suicide epidemic within the ranks, the alarmingly high rate of sexual harassment and assault in the military, and the overall lack of accountability for the poor treatment of servicemembers.
Oh, and tell us, whatever happened to the DOD Chief of Diversity that violated the DOD’s zero-tolerance rule for racism?
At least 6,000 people got sick from jet fuel-contaminated water, including many children. The base commander received a medal. https://t.co/TPr8sYfQ7p
